A First Look into our New Summer Indoor 2023 Cushion Collection

Tones of eucalypt green and blush pink echo the interior landscape currently, a verdant source of inspiration for Zaab when it came to recasting this Summer 23 Indoor Collection.

One of the questions the designed team asked themselves was, “How does a homeowner want guests to feel when they come to visit their house?” The overarching goal was subdued maximalism with a “rich, texturally exciting and interesting” mix of “browns, neutrals, greens, blues and pinks” and “elements of European chic” – Zaab Design Team.

The design team were deliberate with the design direction of story, ultimately creating a balance between clean, contemporary, and minimal touches with more effusive and joyful moments shown through hints of colour and pattern. While some of the patterned pieces nod to classic European chic design, the blush, blue and green tones are taken directly from the Australasian landscape.

It’s rare to find a cushion collection that eschews chic, especially when it came to the colour palette, which runs from splashes of blush pink to the classic pastel blue and hint or eucalypt green. “We chose complementary shades of pink to create a throughline which can be used in more subdued or cooler-toned areas of the home – it offers a formal unity to the home, and a more definitive continuity throughout it.” – Zaab Design Team

At Zaab we are committed to finding more sustainable ways to produce our beautiful homewares collection. This season we revisited our sustainability initiatives and are proud to have Recycled Cotton and Polyester as a core part of this collection across a range of the cushions, throws and rugs. Our throw rugs are woven from Recycled Cotton and feature an elegant, tufted fringe.
