SHEERS & VOILES

TRIPLE WEAVE- ROOM DARKENING
As the name suggests, these fabrics are woven with 3 layers into one fabric .
This technologically advanced fabric is woven so that the blockout fibres are encased in 2 outer layers. The face layer is where the colour and design appear, the middle layer is a densely woven black yarn that reduces the light, and the back layer is usually a plain white or complementary colour.
Triple weave fabrics are classed as Room Darkening as they stop 40-80% of light entering the room. As they are not a coated fabric they are softer and drape beautifully on the window. Triple weaves are washable and mold resistant making them the perfect choice for humid environments.
BLOCKOUT COATED
Blockout coated fabrics remain our most popular fabric type, as the main function of window coverings is light and heat control. These fabrics have a backing applied to the back side of the fabric with helps to block out the light and reduce the amount of heat entering the room through the window.
